This is Madame 4-yr-old's Halloween costume. Have you ever seen such lovely, sparkly mermaidry?

I'm particularly fond of the tail.

When my brother was 2, my sister dressed him up like a girl for Halloween (he already had such nice, long eyelashes) and told him he was a cowboy. Tuey has great eyelashes, too, but I think he's going to be spared from cross-dressing this year.

So awesome! Is your niece going to have to slither on the floor in her mermaid get-up, or is walking allowed?
That slit in the side is where her feet come out and then the tail drapes over to the side, so she can walk. I thought it would kind of nice to have her immobile for awhile. We could pull her around in a wagon.
