I'm Back
I'm back. I flew to Charlotte Saturday and stayed overnight at my friend the Coordinatrix's house and then the two of us drove up to DC on Sunday. I made the Coordinatrix sing rounds with me through about half the state of Virginia on our drive, which I'm sure she thoroughly enjoyed, and if she didn't, it's still good for people to sing on car trips. I'm pretty sure it builds character. We stayed with our friends Ti-Cup and Excel and their toddler (who was my good friend for about an hour because I understood her request to be taken outside to wave to the recycling men and because she and I had some good times reading the AAA guide to DC together. When her mom came home, we became less good friends) for two nights and then with the JLB family for two nights. We had an excellent time and got to visit with several other friends while we were there as well. During the entire trip I was so impressed by how fortunate I am to have so many good friends who spend time with me and travel with me and feed me and extend hospitality to me in their homes and laugh at my stories and make time for me. I feel really grateful for all the people in my life today.

Annie--I DO want to come to Colorado sometime. I miss you!
I'm about 3 hours south of it--the very southeast corner of VA. So, OK, not that close. But I'm up in DC once a month... I am near the beach. Maybe you get the library to close and have all of you come out! :-)
Then come oh come to colorful Colorado. Actually where I live is not too colorful, it's kind of dry and ugly but still. Amy and i are both here so you have 2 good reasons to visit! :)

ps -- i was writing my post about your visit and i mentioned how great your hair looked in the photos. perceptions, perceptions...
i meant, clearly, off 'to' weight watchers...
