the Polish cocoa creams are getting low

I discovered something that I find shocking about Steve. Sometimes we make brownies or buy Cadbury micro eggs and after we have a few, we put them away and then (this is the shocking part), Steve completely forgets that we have them. He FORGETS that there's chocolate in the house. A day or two later I ask him if he wants a brownie, and he says, "Oh yeah. We have brownies." !?!? I always know where and how much chocolate is in my home. Always. The sweets are on my radar and if they move to a new location or get eaten by a family member, I feel a shift in The Force.

It's probably all for the best, though, because it just means more chocolate for me.

I tend to forget the yummy things in my house, too, and then when I rediscover it is there, it's like an all-new happiness. :-)

Steve has always been like that. Halloween candy would last for years. Mostly to the chagrin of his sister until she learned to use his forgetfulness and raid his stash after what she figured was a safe length of time. Sometimes she would err.
S:Mommmmmmm she ate my three year old chocolate.
Mom:Yuck! How could you eat such old candy?
M: Well S wasn't eating it.

This makes me want to BE Steve when I grow up. I know where everything is and have to think about it far too much.

I often find forgotten treasures that really belong to Quinn. But I figure six months is a safe time cushion to eat stashed chocolate, especially if the chocolate has started to mottle. Anyone who would let chocolate mottle does not deserve to eat it!
