This is my favorite book of the week. It's a collection of illustrations from a local artist with short, clever text about growing up in Scotland after WWII. I think it's a great little introduction to a bit of Scottish history. And I adore the drawings.
Steve is especially fond of the dogs.

oh, i want to live in a world that is illustrated like this!
I love the illustrations, especially where the mother prepping the kids for "baking in the sun" with olive oil.
