I'm reading John Green's YA book, The Fault in Our Stars, and I can already tell on page 34 that it is going to be very, very difficult not to lie on the couch, ignoring my baby tomorrow in order to finish it.
Ah, the problem, Amy, is that he's very accomplished at amusing himself by climbing on to the arm of the couch and then falling off, opening the oven door while I'm baking, and somehow reaching glass objects that I'm sure are out of his reach.

That was a good book. I read it in one sitting on a day off work.
At the bairn's age I doubt very much he will tolerate being ignored. Beware he might use biting as an attention getting device.

Oh, I loved that book so much.
you have no choice. you just have to finish it. such a good book.
Oooooh I LOVED that book! Even after a friend told me about it scene by scene and announced that it would make me cry. I STILL loved it.
Also, babies can entertain themselves longer than you think. I had no idea until Ethan was born.

I did finish, though, and I did LOVE it.
