Addiction
It's a good thing I don't drink, because, I tell you what, I would be a lush. I'm prone to addiction. In graduate school, there was a Chinese place just off campus and for a little while I was deeply in love with their dumplings. Once I had to leave class to go feed my dumpling addiction. I craved them. (We had three hour classes, so I just left at the break and didn't return.) My newest addiction is the PBS reality series Manor House. I picked up the series off a cart at the library last week and started watching today before work. And now I have to go find out if the new scullery maid is going to stay (the first one left after two days. Scandalous!).

brace yourself for more change in the scullery department...
I've been offline for the last couple of weeks so I'm just now catching up with your blog.... Here's some random thoughts:
a) A space opera?! I SOOOO have to see that.
b) Utah would make a pretty boring waffle. But, on the other hand, it would be easy to make one.
c) Actually, I don't have a c. But it seemed kind of lame to only put two bullets in.
I love your blog, MBC. :)
Rebekah--I have the series on VHS and the 2nd tape doesn't work! I skipped ahead and watched the 3rd tape, so I missed the scullery drama. Must remedy this situation.
Alyssa--Thanks!
And Shakespeare with light sabers is an amazing thing.
I too have an addictive personality. I just wish I could fixate on something like carrots or hiking or yard work. All these areas of my life could use the extra focus addiction would give.
And I forgot to comment at the time, but I loved your post about living graciously at four in the afternoon.
I also LOVE this series. And it has led me to a shame-spiral of more BBC/PBS shows where families live in old houses. Other favorites of mine: 1940's house and 1900's house, though manor house is the motherload.
You had better avoid mango lychee bubble tea. It's a problem.
