Another joy this year was a fantastic birthday card a friend sent to me. I tried to take a picture of it, but I'm completely inept at using my camera, and the camera ran out of battery power before I could get a decent shot of the card. I did get an okay picture of the card she sent me on an earlier birthday, featuring the same character--Paco. I think you will love Paco as much as I do. Maybe on your next birthday, you'll get a Paco card too. Or the gift of someone else's comb.

Jaren gave this same card to his sister for her birthday a couple of years ago! I laughed just as hard this time.
My kids still shower me with similar gifts. They're especially fond of wrapping them in taped and stapled baby blankets.
I once went to Omaha with Paco. I cannot reveal what happened there, but the memories will last forever.

I love the Paco card. One of my favorite roommates from BYU used to cut out magazine pictures of sexy male models and then write sayings like that on a little conversation bubble she would attach to the picture. Like wearing a wedding ring would say something like, "Hi Alyssa. I am getting my PhD in French Film and Literature. I am wearing this wedding ring in the hopes that you'll marry me. Or at least come out for a nice Italian soda." Even after we stopped being roommates, she would still mail them to me randomly every few weeks. I loved it!
