Bliss
I left Cedar City yesterday morning (Go. See. Cyrano.) and caught a plane for Anaheim in the afternoon to attend the American Library Association annual conference. I was feeling a little sad to be leaving the Festival, but you know what perks a girl right up? Having her hotel room in California upgraded to the most beautiful living space you've ever seen. My co-worker and I are in a room with 3 beds, 3 TVs, and 2 bathrooms. We have a sunset view and a sitting room. AND if that doesn't do it for a girl, she can attend her conference, pick up free advanced reading copies, and enter a library state of Nirvana.

Nice! Remind me to tell you sometime about the hotel my co-worker Julie and I stayed in in West Valley when we went to a work conference there. It was pretty much the antithesis of the hotel you're staying in. Let me just say this- cheeto-stained sheets and something white and sticky on the alarm clock and a chair that looked like it was dug out of a dumpster. SCARY!
How did you get the upgrade? I never ever get upgraded
We got upgraded because the hotel ran out of rooms with two beds. My other two co-workers had a similar problem, but instead of being upgraded to a fabulous, fabulous room like I did, they got a room with one bed and a pull-out couch. Sad day for them.
How wonderful! Sounds like bliss. (sigh) Can't wait to hear about ALA!
