The Annual Move

I'm moving this week (boo!), and tonight I completed phase 1 of the moving project (yay!), which was to sell my extraneous furniture. The chastity couch is no longer part of my life. Neither is the big, standing sewing machine from the 1800s. And the Couch of Excellent Sleeping is promised to a good home. Now I just have to complete moving phases 2 (packing), 3 (watching boys haul my heavy boxes in and out of trucks), 4 (cleaning), 5 (unpacking), 6 (weeping from the emotional exhaustion of big projects), and 7 (eating ice cream).

Must stop moving every blessed year.

why are you moving and where are you moving?

I'm moving in with a friend from work to save money for The Trip.

Moving ranks in the top five things I hate to do in life. It keeps company with such items as used car shopping, applying for jobs, and looking for housing. I wish you a very painless process.

If I move I am not taking anything with me. If Todd complains, he will become part of the things left behind.

Lady Susan--I agree. I'm just grateful that this time I didn't have to look for housing. I had several people offer me spots or leads. Usually when I'm looking for a new place, I end up lying on my sister's floor while she takes pity on me and makes some of the house hunting phone calls for me.

Eliana--That's not at all a bad plan. Except maybe for the Todd part.

Um, chastity couch? Is there a non-chaste couch? And isn't that somewhat judgmental? Isn't the couch entitled to some privacy? :)
