I forgot to bring my keys to work today. I don't know how. There are many things I cannot do without my keys. Many doors I cannot open. Many assignments I cannot fulfill. Someone from Tech Services let me into the library. Someone from Circulation let me into the workroom. Someone from Facilities opened the computer lab for me. Someone in my department let me borrow her keys to open the bathrooms. I managed that way for about 3 hours until it was finally brought to my attention that I could steal the storage key and use it for the day.
I also forgot to eat breakfast this morning. I just completely forgot that I do the eating in the morning, which is bad for so many reasons, starting with the fact that I get hungry around 10 am even if I DO eat breakfast and hungry librarian + annoying library patrons = rage. Forgetting breakfast this morning was especially sad, because I was planning on a SPECIAL breakfast today. And it's not even like I was rushed this morning. No, I was just lounging on the couch reading Breaking Dawn before I left for work.
AND I left my lunch at home in my refrigerator.
Sometimes I'm a real winner.

I suppose this would be the wrong time to tell you that your sister, my wife, made me a roll of delectable sushi, homemade (from scratch), for my take-along lunch, which I heartily consumed at work today, round about 1pm. Did I say delectable? Yes, that it was. Marmot Dad.
i threw up a little in my mouth when you wrote that you were reading breaking dawn. for shame, mbc, for shame. you deserved to forget breakfast, you deserved to forget your keys, you deserved to forget your lunch. for shame! j-kizz. i 'read' it to, meaning i looked up the summary on wikipedia. gots to stay current and all, but my rule is that i don't watch movies or tv shows or read books where in people younger than i am are 'getting any.'
also, don't you live like two minutes away from the library? dude.
too and wherein
Marmot Dad--Yes, this would be the wrong time. To share it now would just be mean-spirited.
Rebekah--I do live 2 minutes away by car, but I walk to work, so it takes about 15 minutes each way, and since I'm only taking 1/2 hour lunches this week so I can leave work early on Friday and clean my dumb house, no time to come home and grab lunch.
good thing you can grab a delicious and healthy lunch from 7-11.
