The Marmot Babe was blessed last Sunday. He wore a little white dress that my dad wore as a baby. Madame 5-yr-old was very concerned that her brother was wearing a dress. I assured her that baby boys have worn dresses for years and years and years. They like it. She remained unconvinced. Then Marmot Dad told me that he had male ancestors who wore dresses and long braids until they were 4 or 5-years-old. I'm thinking we should get Marmot Babe out of dresses before he hits preschool.

Maybe he reminds you of a little chicken because you are learning all about chickens via the book you are reading. Maybe?
I think it is the hair that makes him look a bit like a chicken. On the dress issue, maybe I should send you a photo to show to Madam. It shows my grandpa as a baby in a dress. I think this made for easier changing of the diapers back in the day.
he looks just like tuey.
Babies in dresses=adorable. Gender is unimportant.
Jaren lets me go crazy with layette gowns (you know, for the five minutes babies fit in those), but he won't even let the boys wear shorts to church once they're out of nursery. And I had to talk him into allowing them in nursery.
He's so cute and small cuddly animal-like. Amy is right about excellent baby dress jammies, best thing ever.
Alice--I thought he looked like a chicken before I started reading. Now I just know more about what KIND of chicken he reminds me of.
Moo--The hair and the intent gaze. Thanks for the pictures!
Rebekah--You think? I don't think he looks like any of the other kids. Especially since he has a head shaped liked his papa's side of the family.
Amy--No shorts!? Tuey has the best little navy suit complete with tiny shorts. James wore it to my grandma's wedding when he was 2. Whenever Tuey wears it, I want to eat him up. So cute.
Eliana--Yep. Love the baby bags.
