What I Like Today

  1. The restaurant burned my pizza so I got a new slice for FREE.

  2. When I walked into the grocery store, there was an announcement that all the donuts were on sale for $0.25. Fried happiness for a quarter? That is a BARgain.

  3. My apple fritter was FREE, because all my groceries were FREE, because I found my grocery store gift card in my wallet. (Love myself the free stuff.)

  4. Many, many, many Christmas lights were shining on my drive home tonight.

  5. This cookbook just keeps on givin'. Every recipe I've prepared has pleased me. Currently, the sweet potato shepherd's pie is in my refrigerator.

  6. My co-worker recommended The Vicar of Dibley to me, because it is a rule that female librarians under the age of 40 adore British TV. Be aware that this clip is PG (not G).

Bwaahaaahaahaa! I love, love love, The Vicar of Dibley, and I think this is one of my favorite clips.

Love that clip!

And it's even funnier in context of the whole episode. I was watching it at my desk over lunch and laughed out loud.

The Vicar is my absolute favorite. The clip isn't working right now though so I'm sad.

So it is now working. Loved it. Best in context though--Alice is my favorite. In fact that is one of my favorite. Have you seen the show they did with Sting for Comic Relief?

MBC said...

I did see the show with Sting, because I checked IMDB to find out which episodes included Richard Armitage, and then I watched all of those ones.

I like Alice, too. The clip of Alice doing I can't believe it's not butter made me laugh today.

The Brits inhabit a very cold (at least drafty) island, eat things like kidney pie, and so how could I ever begrudge them a little bit of slightly over-the-top telly. Marmot Dad (well, I did laugh ... quite a bit ... right here with Marmot Mom ... so thanks)

I LOVE the Vicar of Dibley! One of my favorites is when she has to give up chocolate for Lent.

This sounds like a fabulous day! I had no idea that librarians loved British TV so much. Will you be leaving UT for Christmas, or spending time with the marmots? Turns out we'll be in state.

Marmot Dad--You're welcome. And the Brits also have digestive biscuits, so they're doing quite well for themselves.

HAH--I just watched that episode yesterday, and it was a very good one!

Chou--I'll be with the marmots for Christmas, but I'm spending New Year's on the east coast with friends, so I'm taking off on the 27th. Let me know when you'll be around.
