1. My wedding ring is too big. I lost it on Friday and then I found it at the bottom of my bag. It had just slipped off my finger (like it does every time I wash my hands--must learn to be less sanitary or it will be lost forever one day).

2. We attended church yesterday and everyone was very friendly. Very, very, very friendly. Old Scottish men shook my hand and told me, "That's a nice husband you have there. Now I hope he's being good to you and that you'll be enjoying the city" and old Scottish women wished me happiness and young Scottish people congratulated us. I almost understood everything they said.

3. I don't know how to turn on the heated towel rack. Once I do, my life will be nearly perfect.

4. I don't know my own phone number either. Or Steve's.

5. The sun is finally shining in Scotland today.

6. Dried chickpeas can be pressure cooked to perfection in 40 minutes.

You are right. #3 seems pretty vital! :-)

I still don't know Shane's phone number. It is in the phone but I still couldn't come up with 3 numbers if I was somewhere other than home and needed to call him!

Job for the week: get your ring sized. A heated towel rack is one of Todd's life dreams. He has low aspirations.

That is because the phone numbers over there are freaking crazy. They just changed to ten digit dialing in Alberta and I am ready to move. Seven numbers is enough. Didn't we learn that with permutations?

Seriously pick up "Joy in the Morning" again in a few months and a few parts will make you smile. Mom wanted me to read it years ago but now I glad that I waited.

Wow! I want to hang with your ward.

Heidi--Yes, it is. Steve showed me how it works, so now I'm all set.

Marcene--I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Eliana--Todd knows what's up. They're pretty standard here and they feel so luxurious.

Meg--I'll have to see if I can get it at the library. Steve got a card last week, so now I can read again!

Breanne--They are very nice, but they're also the least reverent congregation I've ever encountered.
