Celebrating My Independence from British Food

Steve felt no need to celebrate Canada Day last week, but I insisted we salute Independence Day yesterday.  Steve was happy to comply, since it involved pulled pork.  I unearthed the I Love Liberty napkins and we invited over the missionaries (one American and two English) and we celebrated the fact that our nations parted ways so that now, years later, I can eat delicious Mexican food and delicious pulled pork and delicious cheesecake in my home country, which I'm beginning to think may have been worth it, even if we did get the short end of the stick when it comes to chocolate.
