Now I can tell all the stories that have been secret.
A couple of Sundays ago, Steve and I were hanging out with a couple from church. It was getting late, so we were preparing to take off and let our friends get their four kids to bed. We were standing in the entryway talking to the wife, when I suddenly felt really terrible, and when Steve asked me if I was okay, I had enough time to say no before passing out on the floor. I was enjoying myself in some very brightly-colored, swirly world, but Steve informs me that I freaked everyone right out and that the couple's kids were all gathered around me as my lips turned blue. I regained consciousness and advised the wife, who was on the phone with emergency services, that I was pregnant, which freaked everyone right out again (but in a happy way this time). The wife was very pleased to discover that I was pregnant rather than epileptic and sent me home with a bag of maternity clothes and a second bag full of pregnancy-friendly foods, so it turns out that fainting has its perks.

Holy cow!
Now is the time to give fresh strawberries to the people who gave you maternity clothes and offered baby things. They will love you forever! Mom
