A Quick Party Pleaser

Today's post is not about Halifax. Today's post is about a delicacy that I am not making up.

While we were in Halifax last week (the story starts in Halifax but it's not about Halifax), we walked by a store that was moving locations and a sign on the door stated that all books littered on the store floor were free. Steve and the Coordinatrix and I popped in and gathered up armfuls of books and cackled over our free collections of Beverly Cleary and Berenstein Bears. Steve's haul included a number of community cookbooks. I read through one of them yesterday and found a doozy of a recipe from a local village.

Take slices of deli ham
Slather with Cheez Whiz
Roll up and place in the bottom of a loaf pan
Cover with lemon Jello
Place in refrigerator to set
Enjoy
(Or don't)

I thought Utah had the corner on revolting things to do with Jello but I was dead wrong.

Nasty! The worst I've done is put broccoli in jello and cover with whipped cream, as a joke on some guys. It wasn't really meant to be eaten.

Again, Yick!

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

I'm tempted to try this just to see how they could have thought of it.
