For the Grandparents: July

The Bairn

• will be 6 months old next week.
• LOVES eating solids (and I love the Happy Baby food grinder).  He is the banana king.
• rolls all over the place.  Today I'm doing some heavy duty dusting and mopping because yesterday I picked him up and discovered that he had acted as a human swiffer on the floors.
• has discovered his rubber duck.  I've been filling the big bathtub, wearing my swimsuit, and joining him for his baths so that he can play without falling over in the water and he's absolutely delighted with the new arrangement.  Watching the water fall out of an empty yogurt container makes him chortle and he likes to take his face down to the water to lick his rubber duck. 
• is very interested in grabbing the support legs of his swing.  He can and does pull himself to a stop every time I put him in.





I tried to catch him grabbing the swing legs, but every time he saw the camera, he obligingly sat back up and gave me a big smile.



• wants to touch everything.  He's especially fond of light switches and doorknobs.
• looks like a cartoon baby.  He's regularly grabbing his feet and stuffing his toes in his mouth.
• suddenly turned his 40 minute morning nap into an hour and a half nap (thank you, baby, thank you!).
• is adorable.
