A Happy Accident

The milk for our yogurt boiled (which ruins it), so Steve made cottage cheese instead.  I love it.  Recipe here.

I've boiled the milk for my yogurt plenty of times. Its never caused me any problems. Yummy yogurt every time.

Ah, well, maybe we should have soldiered on with that batch, but the cottage cheese was really good!

You've inspired me to try to make cottage cheese though!

Have you ever thought of making your own cheese? Last year i had time (where did it all go?) and made parmesan and mozzerella. Both have been yummy. Of course you have to age parmesan and have the rennet and other ingredients. But its a lot of fun!
