We saw a singing and dancing show, we toured Dolly's coach, we rode rides, we ate cornbread and beans, and we got soaked on the river raft adventure. Dolly showed us a grand old time.
Steve and I rode the ferris wheel.
Steve rode this spinny, scary ride, while Mom and I rode the Lemon Twist.
He found that particular ride ho-hum.
(Note the little girls sitting next to him, giving him The Look. This may be my new favorite photo. )

And then we finished up the day with a trip to my favorite BBQ joint. Delightful!

I have very fond memories of Dollywood. Mostly I remember the swings and the river raft ride. I do love the way those little girls are looking at Steve. Gave me a good laugh.
He gets his love of trains from his dad. I operated my first locomotive (the shunter for the Wallace stone quarry) when I was 10. His love of scary rides began when he was 18 months old when his parents took him on the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland. That was before they had size restrictions.

Just so you know, Steve reminds me in many ways of my five year old. I think they don't change.
That picture of him with his mouth agape and the children looking on from several seats away! I could die it's such a great pictures.
